Story of Chow Chow
It’s not a lion, it’s not a bear, but it is a chow chow!
A dog breed which is said to have originated from Northern China, where it is called Songshi Quan which means “puffy-lion dog”.
Legend has it that the Chow was once special dog-dragon: but he totally hated nights. He hated them so much that one night he decided to lick the dark sky to make the daylight show up. This made the Gods so angry that they took revenge and left him blue tongued forever.
With its blue tongue and furry mane, the Chow is a truly remarkable dog - with a laid-back attitude as well as a loyal and protective nature.
